Morality is determined by social consensus or the will of the majority. The “good” is what benefits society, and individual well-being is secondary to the “greater good.” In this view, you are expected to sacrifice your personal interests for the welfare of your neighbors, the community, or the state. It’s a morality based on collective obligation, not personal flourishing.
